Campaign for Real Ale

The Fountain Inn has won the Dudley and South Staffs Pub of the Year 2002 and 2003. Also the Camra West Midlands Pub of the Year 2003.

Alan Davis, licensee, has been a judge at Dudley Camra beer festivals for 10 years, judging beers for the festival and area finalists for over England and Wales.

The Fountain Inn has had beer festivals in the past with up to 50 beers on sale.
The Fountain Inn always has nine traditional ales on the bar with three Belgian draught beers, traditional ciders from the cellar (cheddar valley) and two fizzy ciders on the bar. And also your usual gas in a glass lagers.

CAMRA promotes good-quality real ale and pubs, as well as acting as the consumer's champion in relation to the UK and European beer and drinks industry.

CAMRA is the most successful single issue consumer campaign group in Britain.

CAMRA has run literally thousands of initiatives to promote and safeguard real ale and pubs including staging beer festivals, publishing books and guides, running National Pubs Week and the Saving Your Local Pub which was launched by Prince Charles.

Food Review

Went in today as part of a lower gornal crawl. Great pub - good ale choice plus massive cobs with choice of fillings. Meals available "famous gornal smokey sausages" with mash (cheese, BBQ etc). Well worth a visit. Friendly locals too... Kevin Wolverhampton
